Little Learning Club is geared towards toddlers and offers a wide variety of educational and sensory activities you can do from home!The California Academy of Sciences has recordings of special live events you can access anytime. Jump into the Philippine Coral Reef tank with a diver, observe the night sky with an expert on astronomy, or visit an animal care room with a biologist!
Scholastic Learn At Home allows free access to daily learning journeys divided into four grade spans—Pre-K–K, Grades 1–2, Grades 3–5, and Grades 6–9+, covering English/Language Arts, STEM, Science, Social Studies, and Social-Emotional Learning.
One of my friends from high school is now a Chicago PE teacher, who pulled together some incredible resources to keep the kids active while at home. You can check them all out here!
You can think of AmazingEducationalResources.com as the master list of free & low cost educational offerings. It’s being updated hourly and already has hundreds of options from Khan Academy’s educational app, to Education.com’s full library of resources, to Zearn.com – math made fun for kids!
And for our little science lovers, we also like MysteryScience.com. They’re currently offering their most popular science lessons for free so you can learn all about why frogs say ‘ribbit’, how germs get into the body, or why the stars change with the season, just to name a few!
Options for Nature Lovers
KidsGardening.org is a great resource for fun activities that encourage a love for nature and the environment. And spring is such a great time to garden!
Even if you can’t attend your usual Tinkergarten classes, you can still access plenty of DIY activities from their site. They have a list of ideas broken down by age, skill and even season.
You can even take a virtual road trip and tour one of our incredible National Parks with Google Earth, and then plan your next big family adventure to see it in person!
