2019 Holiday Gift Guide
It's hard to believe the holidays are here again! With fewer shopping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, it's understandable if 'Santa' is feeling a little stressed out. That's why I've pulled together my top gift picks for 2019.
Stocking Stuffers
As the creator of Foothill Toy Co, I know I'm biased, but our Matchbox Mice do make a wonderful and unique stocking stuffer. We added Pearl and Nibbles the tooth fairies to the family this year. Packaged in a charming toothpaste box designed by Boise's own Julia Green, there's hardly a need to wrap them.

Waldorf-Inspired
There's just something so satisfying about Grimm's wooden toys. Maybe it's the bright, rainbow colors or the fact that they are each handcrafted from sustainably sourced wood. I love that Grimm's designs toys to encourage open-ended play and how all of their products feel like beautiful pieces of art.
Old School
I'll be the first to admit that I sometimes hand my kids iPads to keep them occupied when I really need to focus on a task. But I also try to balance things out by providing a lot of 'analog' activities. When it's time to unplug, kids of all ages will enjoy these retro-inspired playthings.
For Parents
Shopping for parents? Deuter's Kid Comfort child carrier was totally overhauled this Spring. My husband and I had the original model back when our youngest couldn't keep pace with his sisters. It was a lifesaver on many family hikes. The Do Little bike seat is a new favorite in our family. It’s innovative design lets us share our love of mountain biking with the kids, while helping them develop good riding habits.
Outdoor Fun
It certainly looks like it will be a white Christmas for much of the country. And though it may not feel like it, warmer weather will be here before we know it. The EzyRoller and Pogo Trick Board are both creative takes on classic outdoor toys that I know will hold my kids’ interest for at least a couple of years. The perfect practical gift for any outdoor activity? A pair of LONE CONE's new Patterned Matte Boots! 😉

Trending Gifts
My kids often come home from school or a play date talking about the next must-have thingamajig. Magformers (kind of like Legos’ magnetic cousins) top the list this year, alongside Chickapig, an award-winning, quirky board game that requires players to dodge a rogue pooping cow (which I imagine is a big part of my son’s enthusiasm for this particular game).
