Posted by Kelsey McCormick on

Fall is here and Halloween is around the corner. We’ve rounded up our favorite DIY costume ideas to help you and your family create super special memories this year. These costumes are easy, require no sewing, and won’t break the bank. Finish each one with a pair of LONE CONE rain boots to ensure a dry, comfortable night no matter what weather this Halloween brings. There’s no tricks here, only treats!

BUTTERFLY
Colorful felt, pipe cleaners, pom-poms, and fabric glue are all readily available at craft stores. Use a stretchy headband or ribbon for the mask and hair ties as wrist loops for the wings, and you’ll have everything you need to turn your little bug into a beautiful butterfly.

SCUBA DIVER
Empty soda bottles, craft paint, and electrical tape make for some pretty convincing scuba tanks and you can find deeply discounted snorkels and masks this time of year. This super creative outfit is one they’ll want to wear again and again.

FIREFIGHTER
A couple rolls of colored duct tape quickly turn a regular jacket or raincoat into a fireman’s suit. This costume is sure to be a winner with any child who looks up to these everyday heroes! Plus, it’s a great choice if you live somewhere that tends to get chilly this time of year.

RECOMMENDED RAIN BOOTS:

TRAFFIC LIGHT & STOP SIGN
These adorable, creative costumes are bound to stop traffic and they are so simple to make. Get out the scissors, fabric glue, and some felt and you’ll be ready to go!
