5 Ideas for a More Meaningful Mother’s Day

Posted by Kelsey McCormick on

Flowers wilt and, let’s be honest, homemade cookies are all gone in about a day. This year, we want to share some of our favorite gifts ideas that keep on giving well after Mother’s Day has come and gone. After all, mom’s deserve celebration every day!

MATCHING MASTERPIECES

For moms with a creative streak, there’s no shortage of crafty classes that offer the opportunity to create a unique work of art. From painting to pottery to make-your-own terrariums, many studios host events that are suitable for moms AND their kids. We love the idea of painting matching pictures and then displaying them side-by-side at home.

MOMMY & ME PHOTOS

Do you ever get the feeling that time is going by too fast? Capture special moments with an annual Mommy & Me photoshoot. When the kids are all grown up, they can print a custom photobook as a keepsake for mom to cherish. Plenty of photography studios run Mother’s Day specials that make getting professional photos taken rather affordable. Pick out coordinated outfits for an extra dose of cute, and top it off with matching LONE CONE rain boots for mom and kids.

A NEW TRADITION
Maybe she loves to hike, or maybe she’s into theater. Whatever she is passionate about, plan an outing to share the experience. Make a tradition of it every Mother’s Day. Even if she keeps up with her hobbies the rest of the time, setting aside a special day to do them together makes it all the more meaningful.

FAMILY FITNESS

Staying fit is more fun when the whole family joins in. Many gyms and community centers offer Mommy and Me classes - from yoga to swimming and karate to dance. Get mom a pass for an activity she enjoys and commit to going with her.

However you celebrate Mother’s Day this year, we hope it brings you and your mom lots of joy!
