An undeniable pleasure of spending time outdoors, is dinner time! You can get as lavish or as basic as you like, but the fact remains... everything tastes better when cooked over an open fire. In this video we will be making a basic bannock.
Here's the recipe:
- Flour: 1 Cup
- Sugar - 1 TBSP
- Baking Powder - 1 TSP
- Salt- 1/4 TSP
- Fat- 2 TBSP (any kind of fat will work. I used Olive Oil)
- Water/ Milk- 1/2 Cup
Mix all the dry stuff together first. Add the fat. Mix it all up good. Once it's mixed add half the water/ milk. Knead it until dry and doughy. Add the rest of the water, a little at a time and need until consistent, and NOT sticky.
Fry in skillet with a little oil or butter.
Best practice: When finished, put a healthy amount of butter on top, and add Garlic Salt.
